Telehealth Therapy
Telemental health, or Telehealth, can be as effective as in-person therapy in treating most mental health needs. Telehealth services can be an accessible option for anyone who lives outside of Lincoln and wants to meet with a Kindred Psychology provider. Additionally, Telehealth often offers flexible scheduling options for those with stricter day-to-day schedules. If you are interested in virtual therapy, consider the following questions:
- Do you have access to a private space? If not, are you able to collaborate with those around you at home, work, or school, to find a quiet, private space for your session?
- Does your electronic device have functioning audio/video capabilities? Kindred Psychology conducts Telehealth services via our HIPAA-compliant electronic health record.
- Are you comfortable communicating via email or secure portal messages? This is the primary way you will have access to your provider outside of session.
If you answered “No” to any of those questions, Telehealth might not be the right fit for you. If you answered “Yes,” then we have providers for you! Check out the bios for our Telehealth-only providers Kate, Lauren, Max, Nicole, and Sara! See the next section for more information about how it works with our practice.
We provide HIPAA-compliant Telehealth Therapy Services via our Electronic Health Record, IntakeQ. The IntakeQ platform contains a feature that allows us to conduct sessions through a secure video connection. The system works with smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop devices. The connection is private and confidential.
Getting connected is simple. You can access your Telehealth video appointments once you’ve registered in our Client Portal. Navigate to the “Appointments” tab to see upcoming and past sessions. If enabled, you’ll also receive an email reminder (sent to the address on file) containing a single-use video link. Each session has a unique video appointment link, to make it even more secure.
