Effective September 1st, 2023, Kindred Psychology will be utilizing a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) to house our secure client portal. If you are a current client, you should be receiving an email and/or text message in the coming days with a link to register.
Our new portal incorporates the same features you encountered in our previous platform, including a list of upcoming appointments, links to Telehealth appointments, secure messaging, and access to billing documents. In addition to this, our new EHR and client portal provide more self-service options, such as cancelling an appointment or requesting to reschedule. We are excited to offer our clients more flexibility to cancel or reschedule at their convenience. More information about how to go about this process will be provided in the coming weeks. A couple things to note:
- IntakeQ, our new EHR, utilizes a different electronic clearinghouse for insurance claims processing than our previous platform. As a result of this change, insurance and back-end billing processes will experience delays. If you are a Self-Pay only client, you will not be impacted by these delays.
- Unfortunately there is not yet a mobile app for the client portal. However, the website is mobile-friendly; just pull up your favorite browser on any handheld device with Wi-Fi/data capabilities and visit the following site: kindredpsych.intakeq.com/portal. Voila! We recommend bookmarking this link or copying and pasting it into a location that you can easily access for future use!
Transitioning to a new system will require a bit of getting used to. We can guarantee that there will be a fair amount of hiccups and oopsie-daisies along the way, (thanks to human error – we’re people and fallible and we know it!) and we appreciate your patience while we acclimatize ourselves to these new processes.
